- Hartebeesthoek is a 140 MW wind farm.
- Location: Eastern Cape, South Africa.
- The Hartebeesthoek Wind Power Facility has an additional Wind Turbine Generator installed to maximise production while still adhering to the Maximum Export Capacity of 140 MW under the Connection Use of System Agreement with Eskom Distribution.
- The Nordex N163/5.X (5.9MW) turbine platform installed on site, is one of the largest onshore rotor platforms installed in Africa, with 81.5 metre-long blades and a rotor diameter of 163 metres.
- Major offtakers: Valterra Platinum, Kumba Iron Ore and De Beers.
- Equity Partners: Anglo American, EDF Power Solutions, and Pele Green Energy.
- Lenders: Nedbank, ABSA, and RMB.
Hartebeesthoek is part of the K2 cluster, designed to integrate up to 1.5 GW of renewable power. K2 is the first wave of utility-scale renewable energy projects developed by Envusa Energy and the largest trader-aggregator deal to reach commercial operations in the South African renewable energy market.
